Brainspotting is a gentle, brain-body therapy that helps you process emotional pain, trauma, and stress that your mind couldn’t fully handle at the time it happened. When experiences get “stuck,” they often show up later as anxiety, overwhelm, shutdown, or patterns you can’t explain.
In Brainspotting, we use your eye position to access the deeper part of your brain where these unprocessed emotions are stored. By focusing on a specific “brainspot,” your nervous system begins to naturally release and heal what’s been held inside.
It’s a quiet, internal process — you don’t have to retell the whole story. You simply notice what comes up while your brain does the work.
As your brain processes old emotions, you might notice:
Feeling less overwhelmed or reactive
More ease in your body
Fewer triggers
Clearer thinking
An improved sense of calm
Feeling more present and more like yourself
Brainspotting helps you heal below the surface so you don’t have to carry the weight of old pain on your own.
EMDR is a type of therapy that helps your brain heal from stressful, overwhelming, or traumatic experiences.
Imagine you’re sitting on a train moving steadily down the tracks. As you look out the window, the scenery rushing by represents the memories, thoughts, and emotions that come up during EMDR.
This therapy is especially helpful for those who have vivid imaginations and want to process past experiences safely. EMDR supports you in moving forward without being weighed down by the past.
EMDR can help with symptoms such as:
Sudden crying spells or emotional overwhelm
Panic attacks or anxiety that feels out of nowhere
Overthinking or replaying stressful situations
Feeling on edge or easily triggered
Trouble sleeping
Avoiding certain people, places, or situations
Feeling numb, disconnected, or “shut down”
Negative self-talk, such as “I’m not good enough” or “I’m not safe”
