If you’ve found your way here, you might be feeling overwhelmed, unsure, or simply tired of carrying everything on your own.

I support adult women who are carrying the weight of difficult childhood experiences and are longing for emotional freedom, stability, and a deeper sense of self. Many of my clients come to me feeling overwhelmed, activated, or stuck in patterns that no longer match the woman they’re becoming.

My approach is based on the understanding that difficult experiences affect not only our thoughts, but also how our bodies respond and hold tension over time. In our work together, we explore how past relationships and experiences may still shape how you feel, react, or make sense of yourself today, and we build new skills and patterns that support greater calm, clarity, and stability. I integrate a range of evidence-supported approaches—including EMDR, Brainspotting, somatic skills, CBT, and psychodynamic therapy—along with relational, trauma-informed care, to give us multiple pathways to support your healing when talking alone isn’t enough.

My therapy space is warm, attuned, and deeply supportive. Your emotions are welcomed, your story is honored, and your healing is nurtured with intention. You deserve care that sees your whole self.

MY BACKGROUND

EDUCATION

I earned my Bachelor of Arts in History from Spelman College, where I developed a deep appreciation for storytelling, identity, and the lived experiences that shape who we become. 

 

I later completed my Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Northwestern University, where I received advanced training in trauma-informed care and integrative, human-centered approaches to healing.

 

I am a Registered Mental Health Counseling Intern (RMHCI), and I provide therapy under the direct supervision of a licensed clinical supervisor. This ensures that I am continually supported in delivering ethical, effective, and high-quality care while I continue building my professional experience.

CERTIFICATIONS/TRAININGS

In addition to my academic training, I have completed EMDR training through the EMDR International Association (EMDRIA), with NASW-approved coursework, which allows me to help clients process and make meaning of traumatic or overwhelming experiences in a structured and evidence-supported way.

I am Brainspotting trained, a body-focused approach that can help reduce distress and support regulation when difficult memories or emotions feel stuck or hard to access through talking alone. These modalities give us additional tools to support your progress, especially when symptoms feel connected to past experiences or show up in the body

My work blends trauma-focused therapy with somatic approaches, drawing on techniques from the Basic Principles of Somatic Experiencing™ training. This helps clients feel safer in their bodies, understand how trauma affects the nervous system, and build tools to reconnect with themselves.
