EMDR Therapy for Trauma & Anxiety in Tampa, FL

Some memories move too fast to process alone. EMDR helps you slow down and move through them safely.

$160 / Session

Hi, I'm Camilla!

A Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern (RMHCI) based in Tampa. EMDR is one of the approaches I use most with women who feel stuck replaying the same painful memories, or who react strongly to things that “shouldn’t” feel like a big deal anymore. EMDR helps your brain finish processing what got stuck, so those memories stop running the show. My space is warm and unhurried, and your healing happens at your pace.

How EMDR Helps You Heal

Picture sitting on a train, moving steadily down the tracks. Outside the window, the scenery rushing by represents the memories and emotions that come up during EMDR. The scenery moves quickly, but you’re safely inside the train — not caught in the chaos. Your brain gets to process each memory in a controlled, supported way, until it’s no longer something that overwhelms you.

  • Stop the sudden crying spells or waves of emotional overwhelm
  • Ease panic attacks and anxiety that seem to come out of nowhere
  • Quiet the overthinking and replaying of stressful moments
  • Feel less on edge, less easily triggered
  • Sleep more easily again
  • Move through the world without avoiding people, places, or situations
  • Reconnect instead of feeling numb, disconnected, or shut down
  • Replace “I’m not good enough” or “I’m not safe” with something truer

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a therapy that helps your brain finish processing memories that got “stuck” during a stressful or traumatic experience, so they stop feeling as overwhelming in daily life.

No. You don’t need to narrate every detail of what happened for EMDR to work. We follow what your brain and body already know, at a pace that feels manageable.

It varies by person. Some clients notice relief in just a few sessions; others prefer ongoing support. We’ll check in regularly about what’s working.

Yes, EMDR can be done effectively via telehealth with a private, comfortable space.

I do not accept insurance at this time. If your insurance provides out-of-network benefits, I can provide a superbill for possible reimbursement.

I am always happy to walk you through what that process looks like.

EMDR sessions are $160 for a 50-minute session or $200 for a 90-minute session. Many clients find that the extended time allows for deeper processing than a standard session, giving us the space to really settle in and let the work unfold naturally, without feeling rushed.
