Brainspotting Therapy for Trauma & Anxiety in Tampa, FL

A gentle, body-based approach to healing what talk therapy alone couldn’t reach — from a compassionate, trauma-focused therapist right here in Tampa.

$160 / Session

Hi, I'm Camilla!

A Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern (RMHCI) based in Tampa, and Brainspotting is one of the approaches I turn to most for women who feel stuck in patterns talk therapy alone hasn’t touched. I work with adult women carrying the weight of difficult experiences — women who are overwhelmed, activated, or longing to feel like themselves again. Brainspotting helps us access what’s held in the body, not just the mind, so healing doesn’t depend on having the right words. My space is warm and unhurried — your story is honored here, and your healing happens at your pace.

How Brainspotting Helps You Heal

Brainspotting is a focused, body-based therapy that helps your brain and nervous system process and release stuck trauma — often faster and with less talking than traditional therapy.

  • Find where it lives: We’ll notice where in your body tension, anxiety, or old pain tends to show up, and follow that instead of just talking around it.
  • Let your eyes lead the way: Using specific eye positions, we’ll locate spots that connect directly to where trauma or stress is held in your nervous system.
  • Process without over-explaining: You won’t need to relive every detail or find the perfect words — Brainspotting lets your brain do the work with far less talking than traditional therapy.
  • Calm an overactive nervous system: We’ll work toward regulating the fight-or-flight responses that keep you feeling anxious, on edge, or “stuck on.”
  • Release what talk therapy couldn’t reach: Some experiences aren’t stored as thoughts — they’re stored as sensation. We’ll work to release what’s been sitting there, sometimes for years.

No. One of the reasons clients often prefer Brainspotting is that you don’t have to narrate every detail of what happened. We follow what your body already knows.

It’s different for everyone. Some clients feel relief in just a few sessions; others prefer ongoing support. We’ll check in regularly about what’s working.

Yes — Brainspotting can be done effectively via telehealth, as long as you have a private, comfortable space and headphones.

I do not accept insurance at this time. If your insurance provides out-of-network benefits, I can provide a superbill for possible reimbursement.

I am always happy to walk you through what that process looks like.

Brainspotting sessions are $160 for a 50-minute session or $200 for a 90-minute session. Many clients find that the extended time allows for deeper processing than a standard session, giving us the space to really settle in and let the work unfold naturally, without feeling rushed.
